Anna Rivera, Staff Attorney
Prior to joining the Disability Rights Legal Center in October 2011, Anna Rivera worked at the Law Offices of Martin & Martin, LLP, where she handled both education and employment-related cases. She is a 2005 graduate of Southwestern University School of Law. While in law school, she clerked for the Los Angeles County Public Defender's office in both the juvenile and adult court systems. She was actively involved in the Public Interest Law group and served as the President of the Latino Law Student Association. She also volunteered with the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Domestic Violence Project helping victims obtain restraining orders against their abusers. In addition, she participated in an off-campus program spending a semester in Washington, D.C., where she interned with a civil rights attorney and conducted significant research in the area of racially hostile work environments.
