What Your Donation Accomplishes
All donations are welcome! Examples of what your support makes possible are described below:
- $25,000 and over - Underwriter
$30,000 will fund 1/2 the anual salary of an attorney, who will work on 5 litigation cases, 25 special education cases, or 600 calls from people with cancer. - $10,000 - Sponsor
Sponsors a session of the RespectABILITY Conference, which brings together 400 people with disabilities and disability advocates to learn and strategize about our shared goals. The next RespectABILITY is March 7-8, 2008. - $7,500 - Benefactor
Sponsors Disability Mentoring Day - Los Angeles, which matches 70 students with disabilities with employers for a day of job shadowing and learning from each other. - $5,000 - Patron
Provides printing costs for 500 Education Advocacy Manuals to be given to low-income families of children with disabilities. - $2,500 - Friend
Provides special education representation for 1 student with a disability in IEP meetings and mediation in Los Angeles, San Bernardino or Riverside County. - $1,000 - Supporter
Sponsors an Ask-A-Lawyer day event at a disability organization to answer their clients' questions about disability laws.
