Ticketing Dialogue

The DRLC hosted a national "Ticketing Dialogue" on November 30, 2006. The goal was to bring together people with disabilities, entertainment venues, ticketing agencies, and government agencies in order to develop "best practices" for entertainment ticketing. Issues discussed included: ticket purchasing, the gifting of purchased tickets, physical transfer into existing seats, companion seating, fraud prevention, and other disability-related ticketing issues. Attendees included representatives from the U.S. Department of Justice, California Attorney General's Office, Ticketmaster, Live Nation, National Football League, Staples Center, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, the Music Center- Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles County, attorneys representing people with disabilities and disability advocates.
