2007 Annual Gala "Where Dreams Come From"
On November 29th, the Disability Rights Legal Center celebrated the 2007 Annual Gala at the Omni Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. We honored Omni Hotel Los Angeles with our Community Service Award for their extraordinary commitment to the disability community. Grammy® award winning
jazz vocalist Diane Schuur presented our DREAM (Disability Rights in Entertainment, Arts & Media) Award to Sesame Workshop, which produces educational programming for children, including the show "Sesame Street." The United States Paralympics received our Charles D. Siegal President's Award, and
the first Cancer Vanguard Award was presented to Nancy Brinker, founder of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
We enjoyed wonderful music from Grammy® award winning jazz vocalist Diane Schuur, and the hilarious Jason Alexander entertained us as the Master of Ceremonies. A special thanks to everyone who attended the evening's festivities and to those who continue to support the incredible work of the DRLC.
